COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

This is a great business to be in. Not only do we get to supply a product that everyone loves, we are able to contribute directly to our community through donations of beans and baristas.

A bag of coffee is an amazing product; that $30 bag of beans can become over $350 for a community group if they sell it by the cup. We donate beans and our time as baristas to many local groups and school. The most significant of those is our ongoing support of our local landcare group, Barung Landcare. Our ongoing donations generate over $15,000 a year for Landcare programs and education.

Our other passion is assisting youth to become skilled baristas so they can find work anywhere in the world as they pursue their studies. Every year we award scholarships to 6 local students and take them through our rigorous coffee courses. Before the course is even over, we have local employers calling us asking when the new baristas will be ready to be hired!
