I recently attended a barista course offered through Montville Coffee
with the trainer being Karen Barnett. I found Karen to be a very
professional trainer who made me feel comfortable right from the word go. Her style of training was clear and concise and obviously born from a desire to achieve the absolute best out of the coffee being used. She could pinpoint errors in my extraction process and made me aware of the differences between a good extraction and a bad one. She is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend the course to anyone.

OUR FANS
Here are some responses to our question, "Where do you enjoy your Montville Coffee and what do you love about it?"
where: I am sure I would love Montville Coffee mostly sitting on top of the Range overlooking the coast (Montville used to be my home....) but these days I enjoy Montville Coffee most of all when I'm at Quenchers in Noosa Junction because the barista there really knows the art of coffee making. If I don't get there I make my own and sit in my backyard in Tewantin in the sunshine sipping my homemade all organic yummy cup of Montville Coffee, that works pretty well too!
what: I love that it's organic and the fact that it comes from an environment I will always be homesick for.....
where: Quenchers Noosa Junction.
what: The coffee is great and friendly happy atmosphere great service, yummy hot spuds to go with the yummy coffee.
where: At Barung Landcare's coffee stall at the Witta Markets, and at the Maleny Wood Expo.
what: I love most that it is so ethical, socially and environmentally responsible - and that it supports farmers and families in developing countries through organic and fairtrade practices
where: At home with my friends. Coffee, natter and laughter go hand in hand.
what: Knowing that it is totally organic and tastes fantastic.
where: Maleny Wood Expo on May Day long week-end!! Bucks Bakery Landsborough.
what: I love the fact that this small business takes a holistic approach to making coffee. Not only is the coffee fairtrade organic, Karen & Richard also award scholarships to a number of young adults each year to train & teach them the art of coffee making. The participants are required to complete a set number of hours prior to the Maleny Wood Expo & on the weekend of the event they manage & run the stall themselves with minimal assistance from Karen &/or Richard, with a percentage of profits going to Barung Landcare which hosts the event. Montville Coffee also assists Barung Landcare with providing coffee beans for all the fundraising events that this Blackall Range
landcare group attends. A truly amazing business attitude backed up by active commitment to the community.
where: I love my cup of Montville Coffee at Quenchers Noosa Junction.
what: I love the fact it is local, organic and fair trade. It has a wonderful, full bodied flavour.
where: We enjoyed your coffee at the Wood Expo last Sunday at Maleny.
what: The kids did a great job, they were pleasant and quite efficient. The coffee was hot (not always the way) and served with a smile. Very impressed with your idea of training young baristas. Keep up the good work. As a teacher I know our young people need all the support they can get ...
where: Maleny Woodworkers Expo.
what: True coffee taste and aroma and it was nice and hot.
where: Wherever I can get it.
what: It is fairtrade and it tastes great.
where: I love to drink Montville coffee with the patients in the mental health wards at Nambour hospital.
what: I love this coffee because it is full flavoured and rich, and it has been given with a generous heart (which makes it taste even better).
